Camp HOPEis a comprehensive summer academic enrichment and recreational program. The camp is designed to provide a holistic approach to academic enrichment by integrating educational, recreational, and career development activities in a fun and safe environment. The activities selected improve socialization skills, raise self-esteem, build relationships, enhance academic skills, increase motor skills, expose students to careers, and increase reading comprehension.
Unique to the Camp is a component that we call C.H.O.I.C.E.S. The C.H.O.I.C.E.S. (Children Having Opportunities for Inspiration, Creative Expression, and Skills) component allows the children to choose to participate in activities such as instrumental music, drama, dance, art, martial arts, soccer, or a new element of our program - life skills. Life skills activities, such as cooking, carpentry, and Spanish will enhance their everyday lives. All of the activities of Camp HOPE gives the youth the opportunity to develop values, make ethical and responsible decisions, be independent learners/thinkers, practice self discipline and develop coping skills. We believe the program design of the summer camp will help the children excel socially and academically.
