nhwofl.org - What We Believe

The doctrinal statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all that we believe as interpreted and applied by our Apostle, Board of Directors, and Apostolic Covering. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible Word of God and is final authority concerning morality and conduct of mankind.

Trinity.  We believe in the Trinity.  There is one God, eternally existent in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  (1 John 5:7)  (John 14:16-20) (Luke 3:21-23)

Inspired Scriptures.  We believe that the scriptures, Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible and revealed Word of God.  The Scriptures shall be interpreted according to their normal grammatical-historical meaning, and all issues of interpretation and meaning shall be determined by the apostle.  (2 Timothy 3:16)

**The King James Version of the Bible shall be the official translation used by the church.

Life of Jesus Christ.  We believe in the sinless life of our Lord Jesus Christ, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His bodily ascension into heaven, and His imminent return.  We also believe that Jesus is Lord over all things, and He is presently seated at the right hand of God the Father interceding for His redeemed. (2 Corinthians 5:21) (Romans 8:34) (Matthew 25:31)(Heb 12:2)

IV. Work of the Holy Spirit.  We believe in the infilling of the Holy Ghost as a fulfillment of the promise of the Father by the initial physical sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.  We believe every individual that is saved can and should be filled with the Holy Ghost which is a gift of God.  We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to Christians today and that all of the gifts of the Spirit should be in operation in the church. (John 7:38-39, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-4, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 28)

 V. Ministry Gifts.  We believe in the five-fold ministry gift of apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers and God uses these gifts for the perfecting of the saints and the work of the ministry. We believe that miracles, gifts of healings, helps, governments, and diversities of tongues are all gifts set by God in the church. (Ephesians 4:11-13, Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12:28)

VI.  Salvation.  We believe no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless born again.  We believe Jesus Christ is the only door of salvation. No one can come unto the father but by His son, Jesus Christ. We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace and free to all that receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.  (John 3:3, 1 Peter 1:23, John 10:9, John 14:6, Ephesians 2:8)
