The ninistry of a deacon is first and foremost a ministry of service. The Apostle Paul wrote the following description:
1 Tim 3:8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
1 Tim 3:9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
1 Tim 3:10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
Deliverance Ministry
The Spiritual Breakthrough Ministry allows team members to reach out to others and help them become overcomers. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the team conducts spiritual warfare and minister to the individual until they find relief from all oppression and demonic activity. The Deliverance Team is empowered to “set the captives free.”
Genesis Praise Dancers minister to the congregation and God through dance. They take the message of a song and illustrate the word through graceful movement.
Soul Winning Ambassadors of Mercy
S.W.A.M..--Soul Winning Ambassadors of Mercy is a ministry at the heart of God. Reaching souls with the gospel of Jesus Christ is our way of fulfilling the great commission. New Hope recognizes that evangelism must exist outside the four walls of the church and go into the marketplace. We train teams to take the gospel to hurting people in urban areas and foreign countries. The evangelistic team includes individuals who will teach and preach the gospel and workers who minister to the needs of the people.
Step to God
Step to God is the teen step team/dance group of New Hope World Outreach. The teens combine step, dance moves, and popular gospel songs to create an effective tool to reach the youth of today with a message of hope.
Women of Faith is a ministry designed to support and help women fulfill their purpose and build sustaining relationships. The ministry implements programs to encourage women from all walks of life to reach their highest potential. Activities include monthly meetings with guest speakers and outings focused on the theme for the month, prayer breakfast, and an annual conference.
Youth JAM
Youth JAM (Jesus and Me)is for all ages and meets 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month. During that time, youth are engaged in fun and creative exercises that stimulate an interest in the Bible or explore life issues.
